Similarly, individuals over 40 years old experience degradation of eye tissues and reduced tear gland secretion, making it advisable to wear colored contact lenses for short periods or not at all.

People working in special environments should avoid wearing them.

If the environmental conditions are poor, such as exposure to sand, dust, volatile acids and alkalis, or if individuals need to spend long hours in front of a computer, wearing colored contact lenses is not advisable as it can lead to corneal hypoxia or inflammation.
